Free NASBLA-approved courses are instructed by wildlife officers throughout the year. In North Carolina, anyone younger than 26 operating a vessel powered by a 10 horsepower or greater motor on public waterways must first complete an approved course or otherwise be in compliance with the boating safety education law.
Certification: Following completion of course requirements a certification card will be sent, typically within 14 days. Pertinent information is recorded into the agency database upon completion.
